Ben Ko has photographed a variety of subjects, from authors and athletes to CEOs and surgeons.
His photographs have appeared in Runner’s World, SELF Magazine, and Women’s Running, and his commissions have included musicians Jon Batiste and Stay Human, international best-selling “Born to Run” author Christopher McDougall, and the 2013 NYC mayoral primary and election eve. He is well-known in the New York City running community for his race photography and portraiture, where his photos are regularly used by his subjects for social media, websites, and advertising. A partial client list includes Strava, New York Road Runner, New York Edge, The Rohatyn Group, Tracewell Systems, Yay Bikes, and numerous musicians and individuals.
Based in New York City for 22 years, he recently re-located to Columbus to be with his dad, and now regularly photographs in both New York and Columbus, and wherever else the work takes him.
Ben’s photographs have been exhibited in both Columbus and New York. In 2019, he will be exhibiting photos at Grandview Heights Public Library as part of Grandview Heights/Marble Cliff Arts Council’s monthly art exhibit.
Ben is a member of ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers).
