Ben Ko has photographed a variety of subjects, from musicians and politicians to authors and athletes, from products and parties to senior executives and school children. He has photographed from the bridal suite to the executive suite, from the first base line to the marathon finish.
His photographs have been published by Runner’s World, SELF Magazine, and Women’s Running, and his commissions have included musicians Jon Batiste and Stay Human, international best-selling “Born to Run” author Christopher McDougall, and the 2013 NYC mayoral primary and election eve. He is well-known in the New York City running community for his race photography and portraiture, where his photos are regularly used by his subjects for social media, websites, and advertising.
Based in New York City for 22 years, he recently re-located to Columbus to be with his dad, and now regularly photographs in both New York and Columbus, and wherever else the work takes him.
